Summit Trail Lodge is six mountain homes on Cougar Avenue in Fraser, Colorado. Not phase one of six. Not a condo tower. One building, six residences, each with three finished levels and the same uninterrupted line of sight west.
The site sits at 8,900 feet on a shoulder above the Fraser River valley. Across from it, the Continental Divide runs past 13,000 feet. Down the road, Winter Park Resort is 4.1 miles away - close enough to read the snow report and still make first chair, far enough that you are not living inside a lift line.
Most mountain homes are designed for a photograph. These were designed for a Tuesday in February, when you get home with wet gear, a dog, and two pairs of skis.
